Traditionally Sinterklaas (Dutch version of Sint Nikolaas) arrives in Netherlands each year in late November by boat from Spain. People, especially kids, gather around harbor in cities to welcome Sinterklaas and his assistants ‘Zwarte Piet’.
Children singing and waiting for his parade through the street of the city and receiving candy, cookies and gifts from Zwarte Piets. Sinterklaas visit most places including schools and universities!
You can see more photos of this event in my Sinterklaas album

Beauties are always around you and all could be seen by you only if you intend to find them. You don’t need to travel far away to catch the scenes! You need to travel inside and change direction of the window that you see the world, then set the aperture of your sight properly and wait until the Sun clears up fogs and clouds to increase your visibility. That’s the moment you can see how colors dance in front of you!
Although it has been so foggy for few days here, in Leiden, there were few moments which Sun was shining through golden leaves of the town, and was a good chance for me to save those unforgettable moments!!
I am not sure how this photo can attract viewers, either colors of Autumn or the house itself beside the canal of water, or maybe this is the reflection of the house in water that cause it to be distinct.
Nevertheless, the main motivation for me to take this photo was to show how the reflection depends on the inertia or the conditions which made the water to remain calm and unchangeable for a while. Calmness and silence are sometimes needed to see reflection of beauties …
The beauties of Basilica of Scare Coeur, which is located at summit of butte Montmartre maybe originated from its large white dome (and the whole white building) which shines and makes it different in daylight comparing to other structures in the city, but at sunset it has a different view!
It was almost sunset in early September this year and Paris was so warm that day. It was my third visit to Paris and I must say that I was so lucky to find a room in a hotel that I could be able to see both the Montmartre and the Eiffel tower simultaneously. I couldn’t resist to set up my tripod and taking photos of the scene, which made me so happy for that evening! Enjoy one of the shots!
Colors of Autumn, combination of leaves and sunshine in the Dutch city of Leiden. The grayish dome at the distance is the old Leiden observatory (Sterrewacht Leiden).
For me, Autumn is full of memories! I prefer staying in silence and listening to the Golden Autumn Music:
Black & White
Have you ever thought what would people look like to you if you can only see them in two colors by eyes (i.e. Black & White)?! Most of people can see colors, but its hard to believe sometimes that they can see things in full range of colors!
Agree or not, some of us can only observe and interpret the world and people around us in two ways; good or bad, beautiful or ugly, smart o stupid,… We like to judge and underestimate others very quickly and we think that we are right! But I don’t think that we should trust our black&white filter in front of our eyes!
As it is hard to be sure if the one in the right side of the image has got a gun or Tar (lute , a musical instrument) in his hand !!
